Scars: Memories of the Skin

Ngozi Ugochukwu

After exploring people’s relationships with scars. The one thing that kept coming to the surface was the fact that nobody said they would change them, even though some thought they were ugly, not even when they were offered cosmetic surgery. They understood its part of who they are and their identity. The scars remain as evidence of a life lived and holding memories of the skin.

I hope you will come back next year when I will be exhibiting phase two of the project. Until then take care and thank you for coming to see the show.
